OC3D wallpapers

instead of just rendering the view from a viewport... add a camera to the scene, and render via its view.

the advantages of this are huge...

  • ISOs can be changed.
  • shutter speeds can be tweaked.
  • focus can be changed.
  • depth of field can be achieved.
  • fields of view can be changed
  • (mimicking everything on a real camera)
not only that, but the camera can be animated too...

  • to follow a path.
  • to track an object.
  • etc.
once you see the beauty of adding a camera to every scene you create, and reap the benefits, your 3D work will come on leaps and bounds.

I have a 1080p version too, just pm me your email.

Resurrecting a dead thread, two different versions, by yours truly.

and the nitpicker seekax is here!
there is a light source to the right as well, so the sign should have a second shadow!
/edit
oh and the POV is lower than the OC3D logo, but the 3D effect is like you are looking down on it.
:D
nice work though, i'd use it but i don't like the overclock3d.net part :/ can you reup it for me without the URL?

Dat physical render...

It is part of the model from cinebench but i relighted it and used physical render which is a lot nicer looking but takes 2x as long to render, but still only about 10 minutes though :)

Ill do it tonight :p

The OC3D logo was awkward to do it looks better with text and sketch filter :)

the sketch filter works better because the city doesn't have a whole lot of details to it, but i still like the normal version better, has a mirror's edge kind of feel to it. what's awkward about the oc3d logo is that it isn't centered and it doesn't work that well in 3d.
