i have worked with C4D many times, and it cannot do "all that" without extra plugins, which cost too much for what they are worth.

i also work with Maya and Softimage, but it gets confusing switching between apps all the time... so i try to stick to just one.

autodesk, which i am a beta-tester for, are concentrating more on developing 3dsmax, as a fuller package, so i tend to use that more than the others.

anyway, with all that said, i am knocking these images out in about 1 hour. they aren't supposed to be realistic. i am only messing about through boredom. lol

if people want PHOTO REALISTIC images... "show me the money". i will be happy to oblige.

Okay, how about a crysis OC3D logo? Just put the word 'Crysis' in the corner or something and you got your back covered + get all the models from the game ^^

Wow

I go away for a while and all this cool stuff shows up.

Nice work dugdiamond and SieB.

Sieb your PS skills are defiantly improving keep up the good work.

dugdiamond have you used Lightwave?

I use Lightwave, Realflow, CityEngine, Blender, Vue and (Dimensional Computational Science and Graphics) DCSG ect...... I find that Lightwave is a great tool for generalists at the end of the day. I was just wondering weather you have used it?

Thanks oneseraph, i'm really getting into Photoshop and i have learned quite a bit since i first started, i'm glad it shows as well.

i have used lightwave in university, but that was in the old days.

i generally use:

  • Rhino3D for conceptual solids, Poser for flesh
  • 3DSMax for layout and tweaking
  • Realflow for fluid simming
  • MudBox for painting
  • PS & AE for print
