just center it.
all my pics will be 1920x1200 from now on, but will be 'safe-regions' rendered... this means that if you have a 1080 resolution, all the image will still be seen in all its glory
That did come to mind after I had posted it. But as long as all your wallpapers have that safe region then that will keep me happy
