Every PC gamer or RPG fan should know that Skyrim is rereleasing on PC tomorrow, bringing with it updated visuals and 64-bit support.

Here is a place to talk anything Skyrim from performance, writing about your adventures or even about your favourite mods.

Personally, I am very excited for this release and am pre-loading the game as i write this post.

Can't wait it's going to be (better be) awesome! And 64bit mod support at long last.

I baked some sweet rolls to celebrate the re-launch.

6 with Cinamon icing and 6 with lemon icing.

My big hope for this release is an unlocked framerate, though I know that is super unlikely.

I know Bethesda are working on Fallout 4 VR, so it will need a 90FPS limit for that.... dear knows it is Bethesda after all. We will be lucky if it works.

AFAIK the special edition will be running on the same updated engine as Fallout 4 and judging by what I've seen anything over 60 can go a little funky, Although I'm hoping for an unlocked frame rate too.

Oh and awesome sweet rolls, May make some myself :)

chaps I wanna see some comparison shots when it's live if anyone remembered to take some before the update

You shouldn't expect that big of an update to be honest. It's still the same old engine(albeit upgraded to 64bit). It does look better, more lifelike and less jaggy everything in models, but I think most of the amazing work will come with graphic mods. With more memory to move around, they can get creative.

lol anyone know why im getting a whopping 8fps in the SE version?

First time ive experienced any game with low fps.

Disable g-sync if you have that. That was causing major stuttering for me in fullscreen mode, also it seems the game is using vsync on as default which is really causing its own issues as well. Also if you have a 100+ Hz screen, consider using a fps limiter and set it to 60, unless you want weird physics to happen in game.

Open the SkyrimPrefs.ini file in your documents\mygames\skyrim special edition\ and change iVSyncPresentInterval to 0.
