I've been running DDR3 for some time now and can't wait to build a Corei7 rig. I do plan on running 6 gig triple chanel in the thing when the time comes, 4 gigs just doesn't seem to be enough at times when I'm doing a bunch of stuff at one time with Vista x64................

Well good luck everyone, and ohyah can u combine ddr3 and ddr2 on a mobo? cause i remember reading that some of the boards have both slots

The chipset on those boards allows the use of either ddr2 or ddr3, but not both at the same time. You wouldn't really want to though, as the ddr2 would hold you back
