Your steam ID has been removed from the banned list, but the change won't take effect until the server can be restarted (which probably won't happen until tomorrow morning)

Nope. When in a game, type "status" into console. You're Steam ID is the "Steam:0:0" (or 0:1 I think) followed by a 3-8 digit number (or something like that)

They have to make it complicated didn't they.

rcon'ing it should work but you should add it to the server.cfg so it gets loaded on every server reset/map change.

You can do a google on sv_pure 2 and sv_consistency 1 if you want to learn more about it.

The only reason why they wouldn't work would be because the server hasn't been updated lately, run SRCDS update tool.

It works with the latest DM plugin for sure, I love playing on DM servers with sv_pure 2 + sv_consistency 1 on.

Should work anyway but just to make sure. Always better for server hardware/speeds to run latest versions.

Pure doesn't stop hackers it stops cheaters, the non VAC bannable custom textures will be stopped this stops glass walls neon models etc.

I havent been on this form for ages, but thought i would make a return, after finding out about your cod 4 servers,

They are great.

When i play on them do i have to have the format of OC3D-C | username?

That depends on whether you want to be on the community clan, if so they yep that is the format. you need the -C to show you are community rather than admin.

There are a few rules, they boil down to play nice and dont pretend to be admin.

How about saying so in the MOTD? That the -C peeps are just members and [OC3D] are the admins.

Alot of people tend to think that [OC3D-C] are admins too.

Is there any reason why I would have much higher ping to cod4 server #1 than on server #2? Are the servers on the same location?

I'm from Sweden, have a BBB 100/10 mbit connection and I get about 2x as high ping on #1 as I get on #2
