NZXT Switch 810 mod/build log "Sinistar"

First one i've seen with a cutout, looks like it's going to be a good build

Just ordered my watercooling stuff for my Switch 810.

Yeah i had to do somthing to the front. When i mounted the fans and tested them the air flow was sooooooo restricted and made the fan noise unbearable i had to open it up. I used a smaller mesh to help with dust and also use 2 Enermax T.B.SILENCE 120mm PWM Twister Fans just because the blades pop off for easy cleaning. Im going to mod the top of the case also. The slots on the top of the case to me are just a accident waiting to happen. I can just picture one of my kids dropping coins in the slots lol. Here are some pics of the front mod. Enjoy.

very nicely done. you should make a mod guide for that as I can see others doing something along those lines.

I wouldnt mind doing a mod guid for it but i cant upload anymore pic's it says im at my limit. I have seen others post alot more here but im new to OC3D and not sure how they do it yet.

You could use an image uploader like http://www.imgur.com

After you have uploaded your pic, click large thumbnail on the right hand side, that will resize the pic so it's not so big. Then copy and paste the BBcode link that starts with

Just use imageshack, then copy the image url and use the image button in the post maker

Looks much sleeker with the new front

Now that im done with my work around the house for now i thought it would be a good time to update the build.

First of all i had the NZXT sentry mesh fan controller but it was bad so i bought this one

It Has red and green led's and they dont fit with my build so out they come

Just a little hot glue to fill the holes and some paint and all done

Now for the roof mod.

THE JIG!!!

What do you think? Should i leave black or paint it white

I agree i like the contrast but i was thinking. I went through the trouble of doing the fan controller white, the black mesh on the top and front panel looks out of place..

I dont think the mesh would be out of place, cuz you have the black trim there. so it totall fits. But I have yet to see a totally white out SWITCH

Well i ordered my motherboard yesterday and lets just say im joining the X79 club. Sadly i dont think the a 3960 or 3930 are going to be in the budget. So im thinking the 3820 is gong to have to do
