NZXT Phantom Review?

So I was looking for a review of the NZXT Phantom and I saw TTL's on youtube, but he said he would do a follow up in a month to give his impressions. Problem is he hasn't given a follow up or a review on the site so anyone know why that is?

he reviewed the majority of it and there are now plenty of other reviews from other places, probably didn't see the need to go back since he has other products to review.

if you have any questions about it though i have one

Well you can't just dismiss it as a piece of crap. Its looks are what keep it drawn to me. Its a couple years old now and I still can't find a case that looks better (IMHO), and unless your being extreme with your built aren't aesthetics one of the most important factors of a case? Anyways, I don't think I'll do watercooling, but for air and general lifespawn I wanted to know (especially for the white finish). I anticipate to be able to keep this case for a good 5 to maybe even 7 years. I do primarily gaming and I can find one of these in Canada (where I live) for 100 bucks (77 Euro/64 pounds [I googled the exchange rate])

unless your extremely careful 100% of the time the case wont last you more than a couple of years, the airflow is nonexistent but if your set on buying it then nothing i say is going to stop you. just ask a couple of other phantom owners on here and a few of them think its a rubbish case as well

On his channel check the subscriber video that followed after the NZXT Phantom review.

IIRC he gave his conclusion in that but it wasn't a 10-15 minute conclusion like we're used to.

I've had the Phantom for over a year now, and while I don't think its a hideously bad case - its not a keeper. I'm in the process of transplanting my rig into another chassis.

If you are after a white case I still don't think that you can beat the Fractal R3 or the CM 690 II.

I've had my phantom since they released it and i filled up all the fan spots and i have never had any airflow problems. I am looking to replace mine now but that is only because I am after the CM cosmos II. I have found it easy to work in, never had any problems and it looks great

To me the Phantom always appeared as a design staple rather than a performance case. It has a love/hate look that I think no other case can match.

I can mention plenty of people I would recommend the Phantom to, but none of those people are performance buffs or overclockers.

I've had my phantom since launch and never had any problems, I would highly recommend to anyone as it's a well built sturdy case with many great features in. The airflow in my case is fine with fairly low temps across everything currently my CPU is at avg. 40*C and GPU is at 45*C with the fan on 25% so I wouldn't say it has bad airflow whatsoever.

I am wondering if Mushkin ridgeback ram would fit in an nzxt phantom with a Corsair H100 in push pull configuration.

I read that only ram with large heatsinks give problems. I found out from youtube that Corsair Dominator and vengeance ram doesn't work and that they are above 50 mm high.

My link

On the Mushkin website they say that ram with ridgeback heatsinks is 40 mm high. My link

I am looking to build a red system with the redline ram. Does anyone know if I can fit the Ridgeback ram or do I have to settle for the frostbyte?

thanks
