The case just looks like the desing team was really sloppy doing this. The window on the panel (for example) demonstrates that. The leds and the pwm fan controller are nice touches indeed but overall if I were to choose between phantom and h440, then the h440 it would be.

As above. Its much cleaner IMO.
Maybe look at Phanteks too
I thought that a while back but a guy they hired really shook things up.
H440 and S340 were epic cases for the money IMHO

They probably did but I'm still very wary. It doesn't help that they monopolised the fan mounts on the Phantom so that you could only use their fans unless you drilled holes.
I quite like their new cases but I've always made my own PSU shrouds any way so other than that to me they're a bit meh.
But hey, 'meh' sells. Look at all of the Fractals for example they sell like hot cakes and are so plain it's unreal.

That is why the Fractal's sell cause most of the market wants plain these days.
Look at the market now for cases 70% of market now are plain looking cases.
That is why everyone is different cause some people want "Plain" and some people want "funky" looking cases
That is why SilverStone Cases & Lian Li Cases sell pretty good too.

Fractal sells because their identity is sleek and understated. Also the fact they make solid products. If it's so plain then make the inside look good.. that's where the attention goes anyway.

That's all good but the problem with PC cases is we get absolutely frickin drowned in them. Some company comes up with a good case and then every one copies it until we're absolutely sick of it.
I went minimalistic with my little pocket PC and whilst it's nice it is a little plain. Having said that it does have curves which I really like.
I've heard a lot of really good things about the Fractal cases but I'm worried that if I ever bought one I would be disappointed.
Mind you the Cosmos 2 cost me £280 or something mental like that and after owning one of those everything will seem a bit flimsy.
