To me this case looks like a combo on the H440 & a Phantom case unless that is the idea. Still looks nice tho

The front reminds me a lot of the old Lexa S with a bit of Phantom and a Switch/Phantom window.
Personally I think it looks horrible :|

IMO It doesn't look no where near as good as the H440, From what you're saying is it looks like they just threw it together.

Have a look at the black version, you may like it better
Just had a look at the black one IMO it does look a little bit better but still no where near as good as the H440.
I think its the P440 aka Phantom 440 because IMHO thats exactly what it is.
People may not like the looks but the Phantom outsells the H440 in huge quantities so this will sell. If you want plain the H440 is there so no need to moan.
If you want better airflow but like the H440 layout BOOOM job done bases covered business arse protected.
Job done.
The ONLY issues with the white case is the dated blue LED's - that bit is fail and I can honestly say if Mr Teller was still working there it wouldnt have happened. Thats the only part NZXT have slipped on and its just them going back to their old tacky dated ways and I hope it stops now and doesnt get worse......

I actually liked the phantom casess. Its a smoother, rounder style. This is just a bit random.

As an H440 owner I think this is a great idea on NZXT's part. The H440 is my favorite case ever in terms of chassis/internals design, but I'm not big on silent gaming and would prefer better airflow in most situations. Aesthetically, I find both cases pleasing for what the are. H440 was quiet and minimalistic, the N450 is basically everything I liked about the H440 but with the big guns pulled out, so to speak.
The Noctis 450 is definitely going to be on my radar for my next build. I went with white for my H440, so maybe I'll go for black this time around....

Honestly I wouldn't have mind an actual Phantom look like even the 530 or 240 but this thing doesn't appeal to me at all. It just looks funny.
And not even just moaning, just expressing my personal opinion
Coming from a guy who kinda liked the Phantoms.As MadShadow pointed out the, the black version already looks a bit better, but especially on the white version: Those standoffs under the off-set panels... really NZXT? :s
Silverstone have been doing the same thing for ages with the RV and FT series as well and I applaud that as you get to choose between understated or gamer but in this case I think NZXT overdid the gamer version considering its price point. To me it just looks a little cheap on the outside, which is a shame with all the competition out there, like the cheaper Enthoo Pro.
One last point is that when looking at it from the side, the front and top panel really make it look streamlined from the front to the back, but then there's the window that seems dynamic in the complete opposite direction :huh:
And the bottom of the window doesn't really line up with anything which just seems off from a design standpoint.
But again this is a little less bad on the black version, as the black mesh doesn't stand out as much when it's on a black case.

The window is just a Phantom window - wasnt 'designed' for this at all its just grabbed from the parts bin

Honestly it's the main thing wrong with the design as well imo. The NZXT logo on the PSU shroud is now way off-center, the red bit is just panel that you'll be looking at and the view of the GPU is cut off at the end (which could actually arguably be a positive point if you don't have to see the power cables) .
It also somehow annoy me greatly how the mesh on the front only goes down just a little over halfway. :lol:
I'm sure there's still a market for this case, a big one even and NZXT made the right move by doing a 'Phantom' style version of a case as good as the H440, I just wish they had stuck to the actual Phantom looks.
If I had bought this case I'd be constantly staring at it like "I don't know why, but this thing is really fucking with my OCD".
