Nvidia's RTX 4070 launch schedule leaks

meh

They've taken so long to release the cards and the prices are stupid that i've pretty much lost interest in this generation of nVidia cards.

I lost interest in flagship purchases long ago when these prices reached ludicrous levels. I find better deals with last gen high end now. Saved about $1000 iirc on the 3090ti suprimX, just because they tried to shift them to make way for the new series.

last gen is where it's at for price performance, give it another generation and they may change there minds as i don't see many buying them atm.

I expect they will want £700 for this meaning zero gain over a 3080.

I feel like all the hype surrounding Lovelace and RDNA3 has dissipated way earlier than previous generations. Even though I was excited to buy a Navi 33 card, I just don't care any more.

I was on the fence with rdna3 was for sure more excited for rdna2, but amd missed the mark tbh but i still see as things go a few more generations them being very decent.

Nvidia on the other hand the prices are just too high.

I know RnD costs but there has to be some rational thinking with what the cosumer is expected to pay, tbh both are guilty the last gen is just way way better value.

That's because they are available absolutely everywhere you look.

Big difference between now and Covid, yet Nvidia and AMD seem to have missed the memo.

If you extrapolate from what is already out, a 4070 is likely to be around 3080 performance for the price of a 3080.

This once again bumps up the cost of entry to mid-range pc gaming. In 2017, a 70 series was a £350 card. Now we are looking at £650+.

If I didn't play simulators like DCS, I'd definitely be looking to a console for gaming, it just makes more sense the way PC is going.

We are looking at a £500+ 4060, £400 4050 with the way the product stack is shaping up. It's ridiculous.
