Nvidia's RTX 3090 has been pictured - a 3-slot behemoth

What did the 3090 say to the 2080Ti?

I have already seen comments like "Firmi V2 confirmed?"

I genuinely thought those fans were the ones they use on the 2080. Put into perspective? that is a huge card. Like, probably even bigger than my Kingpin, and that was a real sod to get in my case tbh.

Been debating Adored's callout on the power use being over 400w. If he is right that is probably with locked voltage :o

So just imagine what this pig would pull if EVGA released a Kingpin, and how big it would need to be.

I bet the AIBs have a serious migraine right now. Imagine trying to redesign that onto a single PCB? and imagine how big and heavy the water block will be LOOOOOOL.

OMG come on. That's so fake it's ridiculous. It's that same fake crap from before, crudely enlarged so that the PCI slot on the "3090" is bigger than the 2080ti (1), fans that are so wrong to be in this type of design and one with horrile defects (2) and why can I see through the fins to the table in the middle of the card , where there should be pcb and backplate as per the other picture (3) and why can i see through the IO? (4)

Dual GPU

If that is the size of the 3090 with 24gb, than 3090 is a dual gpu. With AMD possibly having it's multi CPU infinity tech up it's sleeve, dual GPU would be a buffer for nvidia to retain it's crown.... with all the sli/xfire naysayer complications. And also a chance to charge some megaprime $$$ for a month or two before big navi releases, because you know someone somewhere will buy it

That or it is one incredibly hot single gpu

... and I agree, the photos look fake. The two gpu's weren't photographed side by side, the shadows off each card are all wrong. And where the card meets the pci bracket lacks detail, as do the screws on the 3090, assuming the same camera took both photos.

Yeah, you might be right. It does look off.

I could pull and skew it all around in Photoshop to get the exact size but I really can't be arsed. I simply have far too much to do.

even the pci bracket on the bottom of the card sticks out waaaaaay to far, the pci-e connector wouldnt even go in the slot, it would just hover above it!

Yeah that picture is totally 100% fake.

First I got the dimensions of the 2080Ti, then found a good image (that was straight with round fans). I pulled it to scale, then used the PCIE edge connector as the reference point. Managed to get them identical but aye, look what happens to the 3090.....

The fan remained perfectly round. It was 128mm, indicating a 140mm (which would mean that the card won't fit in any case at all, it would be about 155mm high ffs without the PCIE power cables in !

That looks to me like a 3080 that someone tacked the PCIE slot and back bracket to. Even that doesn't look right.
