Nvidia's Racer RTX will be available as a playable tech demo

It's very clever what Nvidia are doing. 30-something year-olds grew up playing with remote control cars just like these (I had the one in the picture), and we're the ones most likely to be able to afford a gross 4090.

Yep had a remote control car when I was a kid like these when they were all the rage in the late 90's, And I could realistically afford a 4090 but on principle I decline, Jensen can go get ravished by a wild Himalayan yak.

Reminds me of the old PC game "Radio Control Racers" lol I was a kid with a hobby grade 1/10th scale in the 90s and loved that game despite it being so simple. Man, kinda makes me want to play it right now lol

I was saving money for upgrade to RTX 4080 this year, but after seeing two different versions of 4080 and prices, I decided not to upgrade this year and will wait one or two years to upgrade, as I do not see the benefits of upgrading from RTX 3080. I do not really care for DLSS 3 as my FPS with DLSS 2/AMD FRS 2.0 are great already. I really do not have the need for 120+ FPS.

Last 4 years I was enthusiast nVidia GPU buyer, I can see the technology upgrade costs and performance boost, I was willing to spend something extra for RTX 4080 16GB, but what is too much is too much. There is certain limit that enthusiast are willing to pay to be early adopters of the new tech and when to stop buying to give the company much needed feedback.

I think this year and next year will not be too kind for nVidia sales as many people will just save money and either stick with current GPU or upgrade to RTX 30X0 for great price/value. The market is already flooded with used RTX 30X0.
