Not the only article seen like this, I replied on another one that was almost like an copy-paste of another article. Just few words changed.

This is a normal thing, there is a difference between a press release and an article so it depends, many are the same as i expect many are taking from the same source i.e the press release.

Same go's for when people think an article is giving a hard sell, it's often just a release that has been worded in that way rather than any outlet taking the time to re-write the same information.

Yes but when each paragraph looks the same, from one particular site, but other sites have taken the time to present it in their own way, I get skeptical. You can compare for yourself to see what I mean.

I will make it clear right now that I have not seen that is written on Guru 3D. They were not a source for any of this. In this case the simple fact is that all the information available is what is written in the Autorité de la Concurrence's press release on the raid, with the WSJ adding that it was Nvidia who were raided.

With information being so limited, I am guessing that everyone's articles on this all sound the same. Everyone is working from the same information and there is little room for added information.

Having not read the Guru3D piece, I can confirm that what I have written is not "reworded copy". I am not offended by that comment, but I want to make it clear that my work is based on the Autorité de la Concurrence press release.

Oh and just for the record, every tom and harry gets door knocked by the feds in France, its common practice for authorities to request information and when you refuse to provide it, they take it as admission of guilt and come knocking on your door throwing their weight around.

And Mark, if you can call getting raided having a couple of Civil Servants come knocking on your door then you definitely didn't grow up where I grew up.... A raid for me is 20 cop cars outside, 2 dog vans, door busted down and India99 (callsign for a police helicopter) hovering 10 meters above your roof.

No finger pointing, but I do get the impression a lot of tech writers these days are copy pasting somebody else's article into ChatGPT and getting a new article which seems slightly different from the original. What a great way to save time and do other stuff instead of writing something original, would probably do that myself

Yea just cause government entity's entered the building to investigate doesn't mean nvidia have done anything wrong, very different to an actual raid on another matter or one that does hold guilt. Sure it's a relevant story but it's been overblown in some ways as it's all over the place this story more than others.

tbh there is no malice in what's been posted hardly like he's taken artistic work and rebranded it as his own it's very different thing and very normal for things to get slight adjustments or just the press release posted.

Would be different if someone had taken a vast amount of time and energy and you were rebadging it and making money without credit there is a big difference here.

At times I just feel your all picking at nothing, even i post links from PC gamer etc as it's relevant news to share, it's not like a noble prize winning book that's been re titled and with a different credit added.

Wouldn't surprise me that given the profits nvidia has been making that was the reason to investigate to see if there was a way they could find something to slap a fine on them for a few billions, sure if nvidia or any company break some kind of trading law then it's normal, but na i don't trust these entity's they are bound to be on the money grab.
