It would appear whilst Nintendo was meeting with Sega for game development, they pilfered a Dreamcast controller for the new console!

I can see why nintendo etc are jumping at the efficiency gains from the change in process, however these systems are going to be rather dated within no time... unless of course they plan release another one sooner rather than later.

Then again they could always just give the poor'ol console gamers shabby graphics...

Hmm. So it's a tablet, basically. I mean yeah the ideas they have had are excellent (as usual from Nintendo) but there's no getting around that it's a tablet. And with them doing away with their smaller handhelds that means you gotta lug a tablet around with you everywhere.

Maybe they will do a smaller version that runs the same games but does not dock etc.

Quite surprised they learned nothing from Nvidia and their failures. So it's pretty funny that they've gone to Nvidia for their tech lol.

I remember when the first Gameboy came out. Oh how I lolled, because I had an Atari Lynx that absolutely wiped the floor with it. Yet the Gameboy ended up the victor (by millions upon millions of units) because it was smaller, batteries lasted ages and etc. It was black and white, mono sound etc but that didn't matter one jot.

That's why Nintendo have always won their handheld battles with other manus, because they have kept them small. This thing? FFS. I would need to carry a ruck sack, neoprene cover, charger, the controllers (one of which looks like a Dreamcast controller) and so on. So absolutely no different to the £40 7" tablet I carry now, Razer Serval controller, external charging brick, charger etc. It should come as no surprise that I have used that set up once since I bought it and it's sat in a drawer ever since.

Having said that Nintendo hold the aces because of their games. No doubt Mario and Zelda will absolutely smash it.
