Pretty sure the XFX/Evga thing was simply Inquirer anti-Nvidia rumor-mongering, so I wouldn't pay any heed to it.

Anyways, the other three partners were revealed to be ECS, Biostar, and Albatron

Wow that is pretty annoying! Maybe this has something to do with the credit crunch?

A real shame, eVGA made quality graphics cards, and same with XFX! Although I never got to own an eVGA card, I have heard excellent reviews about them. What a shame

U know what, I bet this is another spin in the yarn of mobo makers vS SLI coverage vS Intel chipsets vS blah blah blah

Probably turn out to be some truth in the likes of XFX making ATI cards, but inherently they all stick to making nVidia cards, just not exclusively or whatever.

nVidia probably not happy cos I'm sure they fix the prices for them.
