Interesting , so I suppose they should stop sales of Farcry 2 unless your buying a high end card.

Still wouldn't even interest me for a game, maybe if you brought the game then got a graphics card free I would be happy .

I got two copies of Assassins Creed when i got my GTX 280's, still haven't played it .

Nvidia is hoping that the extra incentive of a free copy of FarCry2 will result in more sales. The irony in this situation is that FarCry2 has a few DirectX 10.1 features which not a single Nvidia GPU can support, Nvidia is more interested in DirectX 11.

Whats funny is Vista is only DX10. \

Nvidia may be slightly under in performance but they have nothing to worry about.

How about the fact Far Cry 2 is supposed to be DirectX 10.1 aswell?

Good for ATI, bad for Nvidia methinks.

According to the microsoft, if ur vista is updated, it will be "10.1", only officially they didn`t see it as significant enough a step forward to require a version bump.

Dx10 will always be bumped as 10, despite any improvements/fixes, untill 11 comes along. (think atm it`s version on our desktops is 10.010.xxxxx.something)

Devs are scared to use it as they, to this point, have failed to implement it within their stuff without being incredibly buggy to the extent of being a game breaker. FarCry 2 being 10.1 would be a gimmick imo, and will be patched out rather than in.
