Nvidia kinda messed up with their "super" branding. I don't know why they didn't just release 2065, 2075, 2085. Would of made more sense to any regular consumer. Higher numbers more performance

Well adding more memory means more silicon which means more power consumption. So it's probably a mix of not being able to clock it as high and power restrictions

It could be the power limit. GDDR is sucking a lot of juice.
On the other hand, it means that there could be a lot of performance to be unlocked with overclocking. Shunt mods may yield actual results. It could mean that the power consumption would go from reported 350W to 500+W. I wouldn't mind 500W GPU if you get a linear gain in performance.
