Nvidia releases their Geforce 376.48 hotfix driver for Folding@home

Want my advice! Steer clear! This is a Driver nightmare!!!

I can't even install any other drivers what so ever.

I can't install any NVIDIA Drivers at all! Even after DDU (safemode), Reg Cleans... it's a no go for me :(

We have lift off!! Only taken 3ish hours to fathom but it was a bad language filled roller coaster of a ride, my apologies to NVIDIA it wasn't their fault after all that accolade goes to Micro$oft and their wonderful ability to wreck your day with a single stupid update, which had re initialised the auto driver updates which cancelled out any attempts to manually install drivers. Anyway a few gpedit, and reg fixes here and there (again) and I'm good to go once more.

Word of advice: When uninstalling GPU drivers, or any driver for this matter, that is already downloaded, disable internet connection completely(like remove wifi adapter, unplug ethernet, etc) and then uninstall, reboot, install fresh. Works every time for me. Helps to stop the Windows auto install of nvidia drivers. Surprised you have not done it this way all along?
Also, not MS fault, it is smart. However for an advanced user, it does get in the way, but again 99% of people don't know the advanced route. So it benefits more than it hurts.

Good plan. Thanks for the tip.

It is M$ fault though, I spent hours removing features and disabling auto updates to make Win 10 "my own", but no! Micro$oft still somehow installed updates and buggered everything up without me even knowing.. had this Driver issue not arisen I wouldn't have noticed. I'm still trying to figure out how they installed updates even after my extensive efforts to stop this happening. The sooner I get Enterprise Edition the better.

It's their software, so they probably a ways of doing it... Even without you ever finding out.

I agree 100% on this.

People want to use this crappy OS well you have to put up with crap like this happening.

IMO Windows 10 is not worth giving up your privacy.

Because you did it wrong. So again it's not there fault. It's technically still enabled.
Use Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4(or newer). I've said this multiple times already but no one listens.. go to security and privacy, go to the bottom, check the box to disable updates, restart, won't work. You'll get an error when you try and if you try to force active it other ways, you get an error. It won't work

That's because you haven't used it nor know how. So your opinion here is moreof less understanding of windows than anything. It doesn't leak anything more than Google or FB would

I'm sorry @NBD but I didn't just simply click settings and say "no updates" I disabled them manually via group policies and the registry, also as far as to totally delete the applications from within. I don't need some lame bloatware tweak tool to fiddle with my settings, I've been doing this long enough to know what I'm looking for and which processes to kill.

I know that. I also wasn't being offensive which you're trying to be.
It's known that the method you are using isn't working. It's been reported as such by many people. Using UTW4, which isn't bloatware, is the only method of success I've found from looking around. I'm simply telling you to try it. You don't need to get upset?
Also, if you been doing this long enough and what you are doing but it's not working, what is the problem with trying something new? If anything you could try it. Try to research what's it did, then replicate it without actually using it? That'd be my suggestion if you are against using it. Just trying to help here. That's all my previous post was about

I gotta agree with NBD here, felt a bit unecessary to go so harsch out there Wraith.
And as far as NBD has now explained, seems like a reasonable thing to try, no? :)
