Sounds absolutely fantastic. (on the surface)
What worries me here is that most of the Cuda utils I've tested are.. ok.. and perhaps the average user would think them outstanding, but for me they always fall short on the programming to be taken seriously. (reference my rant on media conversion)
Now - the other thing is, I can see all the pcs I've had to repair b4 now all grinding to an absolute halt with all the prepackaged OEM-esq installed utils - then the AV kicks in and u w8 ages, blah blah.
Sound good to speed this up ?
Well yeah, anything with a speed up is good - however, I can see an AV util released by Symantec or some1 equally useless at programming. It'll have failures, issues, bloat - but be faster, and by that mere fact their programming can be that much more crappier.
Biggest thing for AV on a home install is drive speed. They have to be leaning on thinking "SSDs are the in-thing, every1 is getting them, drive speed aint an issue anymore - whoare!! SATA 6gpbs !!pk0r?!?!!/kill/prawns/one112" - this is sadly how the corporate office people think.
Real-time AV protection would be a neat trick.
In theory it's great news, I don't feel the implementation will work too well cos 21st century programmers blow as well as suck.
A quote from the 20th century, "most harmfull thing to effect programming was giving them more memory".
