Nvidia officially reveals their RTX 2060 Graphics Card

To be fair, I think most people who play BF on PC will end up disabling most of the effects anyway, people usually use "try hard" configs on competitive multiplayer PC games which is often basically all effects off and the clearest textures and BFV is the most "hardcore" of all the modern BFs.
I'm not sure there really will be a "1160" to be honest, a Turing SM isn't a Turing SM without an RT core really, while 1000 series cards prices are starting to rise as stocks dry up, the 2060 is going to end up being the defacto card for its price range simply because there's nothing else left. I think NVidia still has way too much existing inventory at risk of being written off in the price ranges below that so they probably won't introduce any cheaper versions, and when they do I think just more TU106 cuts with less memory/lower bus width seems most likely.

BFV @ 1080p @ medium settings with RTX on = 60 FPS or worse really doesn't bake my cake.
Where did you get that number from?

As far as I'm aware it's been very high settings with just the RTX effects turned down to medium.

3:23 and on

BTW IMO putting all of these fancy effects into action packed games is daft. Like, if it were an adventure game or ever reasonably slow paced RPG? then I could understand it. But if you are too busy worrying about getting your head shot off I don't think a FPS is the ideal platform for ray tracing. I would take the performance any day.

With regards to the 1160? no one is sure yet, but apparently Lenovo "leaked" it. Now if Navi comes along and is as fast as people said (1080) then I would bet my ass that either a 1160 comes out, or, the 2060 drops quite severely in price.

Ed again. Before I get accused of being a negative Norman? I think RT may work very well in the upcoming Metro game. Why? because the last Metro game was "Oh eff I am going to die.... Oh no I am going to run out of filters... BLAM BLAM fight ACTION BLAM.....15 minute break to take in the scenery, then repeat. It was the perfect blend of panic, shooting, trying to find filters (and burning spider webs) and then you got a nice break, like when you come up into a metro station and you actually get time to walk around and take it in before it plunges you back into the action.

So yeah, I think if they place the RT in that game correctly (IE not when you are wheezing as you take your lasts breath, desperately trying to find a mask filter)? then yes, I think RT could be cracking.
