Nvidia officially announce their £1159 Titan Xp GPU

People can moan as much as they want when it comes to Nvidia and their pricing do you really think your moaning is going to make much of a difference to the people who want the GPU's and there are people who like supporting Nvidia.

So just ignore it and continue to take it up the *? Sound advice there

I was always getting Vegas top end card no matter what :)

Dice. In the nicest way possible...
no one hear can believe what you say. haha
"I'm not getting a 1080ti"
*1080ti comes out*
"So i sold my 1080 for a great price so I can barely spend anything for a 1080ti"
I've heard this go on for years:p:D
And now you goin get Vega for probably a downgrade in performance? Nah I don't think so bud^_^

How will I be downgrading ? I'm not selling my 1080 Ti to finance the Vega, I managed to get extra work which equals more cash which equals more shiny ^_^

I really feel sorry for those who shelled out 1200 for the original Titan XP only for Nvidia to "Refresh" what is supposed to be the fully fat GPU and for less money is a real kick in the teeth.
If it were me I'd be demanding a free upgrade to the new Titan
And just when you though Nvidia's business practices couldn't go any lower they deliver this gem

I assumed you would sell.. My bad. I've just seen it so much lol
Good for you. Maybe you can work some more and send me a shiny Vega card too;)

I doubt they will release a 1080Ti2 unless Vega is really good. What they may do is release a third Titan, this time with HBM.

Don't take this for gospel, but I heard yesterday that Nvidia are having issues with Volta. So it may be delayed for a bit, meaning they will probably release something else based on Pascal.

They need to remake that PPAP video

"I hab a titan... I hab a xp".. (etc)

"Titan XPPXP"
"Titan XPPXP"

*beat continues*

They could have, in the very least, put a P on the card itself. Talk about lazy/tight. How the chuff are you supposed to distinguish this new Titan XP from the old one?!?

Not really that confusing really..

GTX Titan
GTX Titan Black
GTX Titan Z
GTX Titan X
NVIDIA Titan X
NVIDIA Titan Xp

We just need the Titan Y now so we know which way up we are.

Anyway I find this in really poor taste from NVIDIA and a bit of a D!ck move if I'm honest, all this is as far as I can see is a finger up to the poor guys who bought the Titan X. It's like "yeah we know we did it again with the Ti, OK you got uber performance months before the Ti released for a lower price but here's how fast we could have made your Titan".

Context fail. Tell me which of these is a Titan X (Pascal) and which one is the new Titan Xp.

Good luck.

Bottom one is the XP :-P

tbh wraith he has a point. For those who dont know what their looking for to determine which is which, they are the same.

What scares me is buying one of these cards "used" and being conned into thinking you have the latest when in fact its the old generation.

The two diagrams above look the same to me. Why didnt they just create its own unique numerical series like Titan X1,X2,X3

Do you think it's really going to make a difference that random people moaning about this kind of thing on a forum lol, It's a business people and they want to make money.

I said earlier people who want it will buy it and the people who don't will not it's not that hard to work out lol.

And I am pretty sure with a bios editor you could make the XP appear in Windows the same as the Xp.

It's daft, stupid and very tight of Nvidia to do it like this. More contempt for their customers which no doubt they will lap up and ask their master for more

Why is this really a shock?

Nvidia have done this before with numerous cards. For example, the GTX 260ti was released with 192 Cores, later down the line they upgraded and did a 216 core version.

It's nothing new from them, just because it the top tier card this time has caused offence to people.

They did it with the 560ti too man :)

So yeah, nothing new. Bit cheaper when they do it to their top end GPU though.

So glad I decided to spend my cash on other things tbh. Much more fun for a lot less cash.

The funniest part of the story is NVidia have just managed to launch the fastest gaming card in the world without the so call experts and click bait sites even noticing before hand.

Yes we all knew that there would be a full fat GP102 based card at some point but no one spotted it coming.
