Nvidia Next Geforce launch is "a long time from now"

So make sure to buy our 2 year old tech! Why is AMD not capitalising on this somehow? They should be releasing something just to say "we got the newest stuff"

Well this will hurt the 2nd hand market. Once new cards are announced nobody will want to buy 2-3 year old tech unless it's a 1080ti or higher.

Which will then perform worse than a 1080 or 1080 Ti while costing 100€ more...

Doesn't really come as a surprise, Pascal is still very powerful and is more than enough for 1080P and 1440P which are the most used resolutions out of the big 3 resolutions.

Plus they have no real competition after the 1070 Ti, They can safely afford to tweak and tune their next gen of cards without rushing.

I was thinking an updated Polaris range instead of Vega. No one can say that Polaris wasn't excellent value when it released. If they could make a RX 680 that's on par with a 1070 for less then they'd sell well.

Well, AMD has announced "Vega Mobile", which would (in theory) be Vega with a smaller number of Compute units.

AMD should be showing new hardware at Computex, so Vega mobile is a possibility. Not if sure the same silicon will ever see a desktop release.

All vague talk to divert from the topic and keep the sheep in line. Everything on the internet and what someone says is believed so readily without stopping to check the facts ;) it'll be fine lads

Once more in English ? :p

Nothing to do with "sheep" Nvidia have no real competition passed the 1070 Ti so they do not need to rush any product out.

That's what happens when I type while watching TV. I'll edit it. Thanks!!

Well the angry farmers are pounding on the gate for new stuff. Right now most have a Pascal card so they're not selling much. New gen equals selling more stuff.

Edit: I don't see what you mean?

Nvidia have no competition passed the 1070 Ti, AMD has nothing that can take on the 1080, 1080 Ti, Titan XP, Titan Xp or Titan V, Hence Nvidia are in no rush to bring anything out as they have no real competition and people are still buying their Pascal cards.

Nvidia can afford to sit back and tweak and tune their gen cards without any rush.

I have faith, nvidia statememt today, was, well if they told in 2 month new cards are coming, sales would drop, by saying "a long time" , they keep the sales running, but after this mining sickness went over ofc there is a gap and still being sold out, alot have been waiting for a long time for a card. But those gamers will get their cards, and then sale / prices will start falling back to mrsp, plus miners are truing to sell their used. Thats my predictions, plus nvidia adverticed for micron in august, where nvidia would speak about next line up gpu's, the tradition is they are released before the micron event, so 15 juli for founders and then a month ekstra for other brand cards, still holds in my little "book"
