Before I get started let me say I am a huge fan of Nvida, and I have a gtx580sc from EVGA and LOVE it. But what I noticed with Nvidia cards is the ratio between core performance and vRAM is WAY OFF. Example, the 580 has MORE than enough power to run BF3 and MAX settings with the AA blasted at 1080p but is held back by its 1.5gb of RAM. This should not be, they should have made the 680 with at least 3gb. I understand their are going to be non-reference cards that will have more RAM but as for reference this is uncalled for, especially sense Nvidia picked up the ability to have Surround displays.
This is what I liked about AMD, while the core performance may not be as high as Nvidia they make up in VRAM. It wont be long when the 7950 out performs even the 680 in games when they start using more than 2gb or vRAM.
This is just my 2 cents.
