nVidia GTX780 Ti Review

There is nothing wrong with a console, they have some great exclusives and it's nice to just chillax with a simple controller, but if any console fanboys start saying that the Xbox One will out do a high-end gaming PC or something...slap them!

I don't know what they say though, I keep away from console discussions because I get so bored of seeing 14 year olds arguing over whats best.

Edit: And I might buy Ghosts today, but the question is...on PC or PS3? PC for graphics, PS3 for easy chillax gaming?

Don't get it on PC yet.

It looks the same as the console version, it is lagging like crazy for some people and stuttering.

It's also bringing high end pc's to there knees as well, my 680's only managed to keep the game averaging around 80fps.

If you played Black Op's 2 on the PC, then you will probably be aware of the Lag Comp, where your killed after getting round a corner or those with a higher ping killing you before you see them etc.

The game is bugged to high hell.

I really wouldn't recommend buying this game on the pc at the moment, as it's a disaster.

I only had BLOPS 2 on PS3, last I had on PC was MW3 and it lagged like crazy on my old 4870.

Is the game worth buying, any good? Wow you can see it stutter in that video too. That's annoying.

I would wait if I was you till a few patches have been released.

There is also a strong suspicion by me and a few others that the game is using the old IWnet system, instead of the Dedicated Servers they said it would use.

I will see later on today if the stutter goes away when my 780Ti's arrive but if it doesn't and it still cannot hold, a solid 91fps which is the cap then it will clearly show how bad the coding is in the game.

You can fix the stutter in Ghosts by changing the priority level in task manager to normal. It's set to high as default for some reason, FRAPS and other overlayers cause crashing and or stuttering as well.

I bought Ghosts for the Single player, can't stand the CoD MP, but each to their own :) After playing BF4's SP, Ghost's SP seems rather dull. Just my opinion though, some people might like it. Graphically though, it does look rather good at times, indoor sections more than outside ones anyway.

I'll give it a miss for now then, I'll probably get bored of the game quite quick, I played Black Ops 2 a fair bit but didn't think much to the game. (Only other game was BF3 which I played to death so just put up with CoD).

Let us know how the Ti's perform in it though if you will.

Keep it on topic - this aint a COD thread boys

Sorry Tom, will keep it on topic.

I need to decide whether I am going to watercool my 2 cards or not in March when I hopefully get my bonus, I just really like the looks of those coolers and may even have to invest in one of those EVGA SLI connectors.

Being in aussie land i'm obviously new here but.....

I have a titanx2, but its not used for gaming in anyway, they also heavily hard modded. The 6gb of ram is put to good use. Am i annoyed its (gaming) performance is bested by the new crop of cards? Not really.

Ive used both nvidia and amd products at the high end. All my rigs are under water (or more) though so reference coolers/heat/noise are completely irrelevant to me.
Do you use its double precision features?

Oh thank you so much for reminding me of that. Since I do computing on my Titan
(or I will, once my PC is finally up and running  ), the Titan's double precision
capability might actually still make it much more useful to me than a 780 Ti (this
is going off of Google results telling me the 780 Ti does not have the Titan's DP prowess).
Woohoo! :D

There is about 3 people on the internet who appreciate that feature lol ;)

Haha, yeah it might turn out to be quite the challenge finding something which
actually makes use of that feature (or those 6 GB of VRAM, leaving out high-res
gaming) and is of use to me. But hey, we wouldn't want things to get boring now,
would we? :D

Pricing in Estonia is strange but makes a very simple choice!

It's probably shaped by the demand on the market. Since 780Ti is so fresh and will be on sale in the end of next week, I assume the price policy is in baby pants and the numbers will pop up eventually.

I've found more and more that if I want a relaxing evening without hassle then I'll play something on the console, PC gaming is great but is also just too frustrating, Have you updated your drivers, Is your 2 grand computer fast enough to play a game that looks and plays exactly the same on a console that cost £300 etc etc...
