It's probably because their Nvidia engineers are so desperate for cards since it's a paper launch, they took all the stock(IE 20 cards) for themselves before shipping them off!

How the turn tables! LolOooh, so Nvidia is now waiting for AMD.
I'm unsure if they're delaying because of the 9070xt, I don't think it's because they want the chips, they probably want only the bigger chips for enterprise solutions.
But they could be taking time to change the 16pin conector for an 8pin or two, after the disaster that the 5090 and 5080 are turning out to be.
