It's really not a big deal tbh. If it is hitting it's desktop performance target then adding cost to a low end GPU only makes it more expensive for the sake of being more expensive, it's not like upgrading memory on a low end card will propel it to play games at a drastically higher frame rate or resolution.

Just like they balance laptops for efficiency, desktops will balance for costs. The desktop GPU will still be faster.

I don't actually see the memory being an issue in the case of performance but id never be intrested in ever buying one would much prefer to get an intel card in this instance cause fine it's a low budget card however it's a terrible low budget card 😅

In all fairness what is someone going to do on what is really a media center GPU, that requires more than 8GB of memory ? I'd wager not a lot.

Oh yeah i get that but many years ago the 50 series wasn’t half bad for a tv gaming most likely still is but back then it was half this price so personally id rather spend the extra and have something more viable that’s stronger they do this to move you up the stack which makes you why they bother making these cards at all even if paper release just a waste of components tbh

TBH I don't think anyone cares that it's GDDR-6 it's more the fact of Nvidia continuing to be stingy Aholes and not giving 12GB whilst still charging too much for the POS!
