nvidia coil whine?

hi i recently bought a 780 windforce ghz edition, i got this because it was suppost to be a quiet card, which is true, i can't hear the cooler at all, but with all this hissing i dont think i could hear a 290x reference at full tilt!

now i have been AMD most of my PC life, and never experienced this problem *lucky* is it a simple fix, an RMA or am i stuck with this? this card totally negates all the money i spent to have a quiet rig

I'd probably try to RMA it, although it depends just how loud it is.

How long have you had it? And where did you buy it from?

You were just unlucky, it can happen on any Nvidia or AMD card. If it's very excessive you could try an RMA though as it isn't technically faulty I don't know if where ever you bought it from would accept it. Maybe try emailing the place and see what they say.

Your other option is to return it under DSR, though it has to have been bought within 7 days (some places offer longer) and get your money back. Be sure to repackage it properly though as it needs to reach them in good condition.

it was bought from scan a while back, i thought it might improve with use (it sat in a box for 9 days until i built up the new rig) unsure if i shall be using that company again, they were pretty rude when i asked about RMA, and i noticed today i was suppost to get a copy of assasins creed black flag, which i never did *not that i would ever play it, but still.*

i will either wait for it to die and RMA or part it off pickup a MSI 290 gaming
