Seriously people, what are you all? Like 10?... You’ve literally made 4 pages of completely non-related posts. Just leave it already and get back on topic, jeez.

By telling someone to grow up is inferring they are a child and therefore very rude.
Dice - can you cool your jets a bit please dude.
Ill say no more - keep the debate going x
Jets are cooled ^_^
Still hot.... Very hot. I wouldn't stand behind one.
3K USD?? Lol! Not in 3000 years! A possible 2080 for a 1000? Not for my life, that is way too much for that GPU. Possible though, with current Ti prices precisely at that mark. :/ what a sore disappointment!
GPU prices are way, way out there and lowering not in sight I'm afraid.
Good thing is that I guess my 1080ti will last me 2 generations. Just does not make sence for me to upgrade every year.
Haha love your price relation there!
But agreed, $3000 for a graphics card is just mindblowing and utterly insane. A tiny graphics card is starting to get into levels of a used, but not that old, fully functional car.
It’s just insane the price they are asking for it... Most people don’t even have that money in a months salary, that’s also even before taxes.
I wasn't surprised when I saw the $3000 price tag. Do Nvidia really need to release this card now? Is there a huge demand for it in the compute world?
Just going out on a limb here but maybe these cards are the ones with parts that couldn't quite house the full amount of HBM chips and couldn't handle the big bus width etc.... so they are selling off their stock that couldn't quite make the Tesla grade as a new Titan ? Maybe ? Possibly ? and Nvidia know their customer base VERY well, They release a new Titan, It causes controversy and through that a metric butt ton get sold.
As I said before elsewhere this card is a snip at the price if you can use it.
It is 100% this time *NOT* a gaming card at all. I do know some guys into double precision. They are still using 4x Titan Black. I am sure they will buy this card, as they can use it.
At one point I was about to take a job doing artwork for online slots, and the software my future boss used had DP. Hence why I bought those Titan Blacks. Turns out he left the company so that never came to fruition..
But yeah, this card will not be good for gaming. You can tell that by simply looking at the non DP specs. It's only about 8% above a Titan XP. Titan V is 12% faster than my XP overclocked.. That comes down by about 5% to an Xp.
It really would be tragic to buy one of these for anything other than DP. It really, really would be a savage waste of money.
I told my brother the same but he bought one anyway, I face palmed so hard but he's the type that would buy anything Nvidia brought out, They could bring out a 1080 Ti+ that had 12GB of memory instead of 11GB and he would buy it, He is a severe fanboy in that regard.
Fair play to him. I mean, I do have 6 BMX bikes one of which I have dumped about £1500 into. Still cheaper than this though haha. I've probably got about £3500 in all six bikes.
Well in a way it's good news for me as I buy his older hardware at a fraction of the cost, I bought his Titan XP off him recently for 600 quid as he got 2 Titan Xp's followed by an Empire Star Wars Titan Xp.
