Nvidia 8800 OC problems/artifcats wont go!

Ive recently come up against a problem I used to run my nviida 8800 GTS @ 530/1300/800 OC, now its stock 513/1188/792 however recently ive run atitool and I see artifacts (2 yellow dots in the same place every 4-5 seconds however the prompt box at the bottom always says "no erros" does this mean I have artifcats? have i pushed the card too high because when i take it back down to stock I still get those same 2 artifcats, with the same promp "no errors"

please help.

Do you get them when stress testing in a different program such as 3DMark?

Do you get them when you are just playing games?

what temp is the card running at

im a slight new to the OC world so im running a 3dmark test now... and no i get no diffrence when playign games or high powered 3d applications.

ill post again in a min.

ps the card runs at 49-50 idle 55-65 under pressure

ive recently run ATItool again and it gets errors at stock settings, is the card now damaged?

hangon hold that thought i had a video running and it was displaying errors... it doesnt now however i stillg et the two yellow dots every now again again with no errors reporting.

ahh found the problem ive changed the ATItool artifact scanning to the old one for compat issues, now i dont see any yellow dots when scanning, abd still it says no errors, unless i push it a little too far,

You're welcome, that is what we like to do on this forum

You can't push it too far, if you pushed it too far your entire computer would freeze up, and then you would have to reboot it to restore to factory defaults.

but its more or less impossible to dmg your GFX unless your not stupid when changing the core and mem values ect?
