The 780I is a bodged 680I with extra bits bolted on, and a lesser SB than a FULL 680I, so dont expect miracles yet- maybe the non-reference designs will be better? They'll still be Frankensteins though- nVidia havent released an upgraded chipset...see below

AFAIK the BR04 is the PCI-E2.0 capability.
nForce 780i SLI using NF570-SLI MCP chip,but nForce 680i SLI is using NF590-SLI MCP chip,the only difference is their name. They have no huge difference in their functions.
780i SLI canceled one 4Pin D type 12v power connector beside the memory slot of the 680i SLI.
