I have an nvidia 6200 agp 256mb card. every time i go to play i game i get particles flying around and it crashes, sometimes rebooting my computer.

Previously i decided to flash my card bios to higher clock levels, from 350/600 stock to 450/600 flashed. i have had this flashed a while ago with no problems whats so ever only now encountering problems.

ive got the nvidia 169.28 drivers installed

i have a 400w psu (385w effectivly)

1.50 gb ram

Asrock 4 core dual vsta

260gb Western Digital HDD

no the other threads were a different problem :)

normally i get temps (onload) of around 47 to 52*c?, ive ran it at that temperature before and had no problems.

should i reflash to stock and oc my way up using riva?

ive reflashed the gpu but im still having problems, ive even tried older drivers. does anyone know the voltage of this card?

ive had this card for a cheap quick replacement of another card lol, until i get a more expensive 1. with oc via the bios, i tried this because i couldnt oc manually thro riva tuner or coolbits, i tried oc via the bios an it seemed to work for a while. i got it at stock working fine on old drivers now. thanks for the help guys, sorry to be a pain :):)

Yes if I were you I'd flash back down to stock. The 6200's are hardly good cards to overclock tbh

Actually they overclocked like beasts, shame they were so slow to begin with :p

I remember having one in a second system that I ran at 600mhz core (up from 380).

OP, try an older version of Rivatuner or use older drivers along with coolbits.

Can`t u buy a replacement card for like £20 somewhere ?

I`m sure if I can buy a pcie 7300 for £18, u can get a similar find.

EDIT: Scan throwing one at people for £19.96 Today.

Chances are heat is the issue, but not in the sense that u can lower the heat and it`ll `be ok`. It is possible, if u`ve checked all the cooling options are ok, that something on a pcb component level has just given up.

Components are r8d at like 5 years usage at "normal" current running. A 6200, clocked over the odds is gonna shorten that life-span. Extreme clocking will reduce it further. By components, I mean something as fundamental as a resistor or a cap, but it proves true for all electrical stuff.

I meant there not good cards to OC as no matter what you do to them the performance is hardly likely to be stellar ;)
