Nothing has worked!!!!!!!!!!

I switched out my power supply for a better one (Aspire 500 W, but still) and the rails are still horrible. In fact, they even got worse!!!!!!!!! My 5v went down to 4.98, 3.3 down to 3.28, and my 12v went down to 11.4-11.5! What could be wrong? Could it be the surge protector plug I'm using? Could it be the fact I'm using a 20 pin to 24 pin adapter for my mobo (mobo is 24 pin, psu is 20 pin, but supposedly it should still work fairly well...)? What can it be?!?!?!?!

the only thing to worry about there is the 12v, the others look fine (5v is very good). what are u using to check rails?

where are you getting these voltages from, windows or your bios, if your looking at them from a program in windows, windows tends to fuck them about lol :)

Agreed. Check in BIOS to see.

Plus an Aspire PSU is still a POS :)

Indeed it is, I had an Aspire PSU that was 550w and it shut my system down every 5 secs for no reason :rollingla which is why i have a PCP&C now

Agreed with Dave. Your 5v and 3.3v rails look just fine, it's the 12v rail that worries me a bit. Where are you pulling these voltages from? I suggest checking them in the BIOS for most accurate readings.

The only REAL way to tell what your voltages truely are is to get out a voltmeter and find some metering points on your mobo (can be found by googling). This is the sure fire, no-bs way to see what your rails really are.

P.S. Perspire PSU's lick wang. :haha:

I had teh same model!! The aspire chameleon right? Mine wld squeal and whine VERY loudly when playing ANY 3D App on my old p4/6800 system.

The enermax 350w that was in there before, ran fine. :D

Well, I'm using the Asus PC Probe and Speedfan right now. They are prolly at least somewhat accurate considering my CS 1.6 fps still is awful even with the Aspire one (sure it's prolly still bad, but it SHOULD at least be better than the Raidmax) which, according to my friend at NickS_, is caused by an underpowered video card.

Well, my friend says he'll help me out with that at some point, hopefully this weekend. I'll check the BIOS today also.
