Hello, Im wondering how easy (or hard) it is to disassemble a Noctua fan, ie taking the propeller off and (if possible) Taking the entire motor out of the casing without to much hassle??
The reason i ask is i dont like the colour, And id like to do an old trick i learned from RC cars which was using RIT dye to change the colour of plastics. (the colour i want being black so i shouldnt have any trouble dying them)
I currently have Spectre Pro blue LED fans on my Rads but nothing on the other sides (inside the case) I have plenty room to add another set of fans inside and Noctua's would give me a great temperature drop but they wouldnt suit the build being brown.
I found this which was for another fan but does it apply to all fans? "i wouldnt try it because u cant disassemble the fan without breaking the center shaft and it is nearly impossible to glue it back together because being a fan it has to b perfectly centered and the magnets would make that extremely hard"
