Today Noctua announced that they will be producing two new fan lines and a wide range of accessories kits, the redux series which re-releases Noctua's older models (NF-P14, NF-S12B, NF-B9 and NF-R8) at a lower price for more budget conscious users and the IndustrialPPC (Protected Performance Cooling) models (based on the NF-F12 and NF-A14) which are marketed for heavy duty (industrial) cooling applications.
One thing I'm sure you noticed from the picture above is, Where is Noctua's standard brown/beige colour scheme?
Well the more basic Redux series fan will be using a light/dark grey colour scheme and the industrialPPC series will be all black with Brown anti-vibration mounts. Sadly these models will run from around 2000-3000RPM
(double the speed of the standard NF-F12) so we shouldn't see these in any PC that could even be considered quiet. That being said these are server parts and are not intended for consumer use, we can't really blame Noctua for these high speeds.
In addition to the new fan series', Noctua will also be introducing a wide range of accessory sets to complement these fans. Users will be able upgrade their redux or industrialPPC fans with anti-vibration mounts, Low-Noise Adapters, extension cables or y-cables. Some of these accessories we were used to seeing coming with their fans by default, so likely the Redux and IndustrialPPC fans will come light on accessories side.
What do you guys think of these new product lines from Noctua? I think it is great that Noctua is creating more budget oriented fans and I personally love the new light/darf Gray theme of the redux series, but I an sad that we will not be seeing more modern models, like the NF-F12, become available in this colour scheme.
