noblechairs releases all-new "Black Edition" chairs with cutting-edge hybrid material

The only gripe I have with these and SecretLabs is that they don't have an texture option, ie not leather. Secret Labs does have that, but only in a specific black/blue colour.

they have had it in black/grey since offering the fabric... black/blue is newer.

Is it this one you're referring to?:

I have a nobles chair. Best one I have ever purchased.

Which one specifically do you have?...

I actually bought one of the real leather ones a few years back and the QA on it was so poor I sent it back.

There was flayed stitching everywhere, the base and the back didn't line up properly and the plastic covers the the metal arms that attach the back and bottom didn't fit properly, there weren't pre-drilled wholes for the screws.

It was so bad for a £500 chair that it put me off Noble Chairs indefinitely. Which is a shame.

wow, that sucks. Perhaps it was one of those thrown together with materials left over, and tools worn down.

The quality on mine has been perfect. And even to this day, the seat retains its shape, stitching is perfect, no fading or wearing, etc etc. It doesn't even have the traditional a** groove that some seats develop over time :D

For me, this is literally the best chair I have used let alone purchased. My only criticism, would be the padding of the base seat and back seat are so much at the join that assembly required alot of force to align the screws. Felt like a 2 man job but I persevered.

Possibly, I guess it's down to luck a bit like the ASUS monitors which I've been very lucky with!

Seating is a very personal thing I find as I have a Humanscale Freedom which I absolutely love but my partner hates it!

Bad chairs were pretty common for Noble.

Davido labido had one and it too was poor and didn't line up properly.

You know that racing style chairs are all crap, right? It doesn't matter what material they use, the shape is bad and it will always be bad. People shouldn't sit in these. It's literally detrimental to your health. If you want a quality chair, get a real ergonomic executive office chair, not this overpriced "gaming" crap. None of these chair are worth even $50. Comfort and overall quality difference between a $300 "gaming" chair and a $300 office chair is ridiculous. Don't even bother with the former.

It's amazing to me that this trend has lasted as long as it has.

Well in that case I can tell you that at my work, they have fully qualified and certified 24 hour chairs, designed specifically for working in alarm centers. They are absolutely trash. Never had such bad sitting posture ans comfort in them and these cost around $1500-2000. What I wanted to say with this, is that just because they are expensive and ”real ergonomic executive chairs”, doesn’t mean they are any better unfortunately.

The comfort of a chair is far too subjective to label any one type of chair as trash.

I understand where they are coming from as the racer style chairs do have a reputation for being poor, however, I've tried a Herman Miller Aeron and found it very uncomfortable which was extremely unexpected..

Then don't buy one. But don't buy a gaming chair either. Go out and try out a few chairs until you find one that won't destroy your lumbar spine, or more. Racing style chairs will absolutely do that. They are not designed with long-term sitting in mind at all. They are designed to look cool.

Give them time.

Wait until they hit 40, then see how badly their backs are messed up.

I could sit on a box until I got into my late 30s.

You're right too, these are all style over substance.

Yeah, but that's the hard part. Of actually finding one AND being able to actually try it before buying... As which with society today, everything is going digital and hence more companies are going for online stores, rather than physical ones.

If you buy a good chair from a reputable company in the correct size it will be good. Reviews will help and videos also.

Try and remember that due to bad habits some people may find a good chair uncomfortable at first as it will force them to sit correctly but it will be the best for your back in the long run.

Yup, exactly what I did today. Went to a local store and tried out the Noblechair HERO. Going to try the ICON version at the end of next week, at the same company, but a different store though.
