Ninja Reportedly Earned $1 Million From EA to Promote Apex Legends

They didnt need to spend anything on him. The game is a big hit for many.

Hard to know how much of an impact him and other streamers had. The game just launched out of the blue with no advertising. Streaming was basically the only way you could find out what it was on day-1.

Not going to defend paying that much for so little, but streaming was a big deal for this on day-1. I'd also imagine that lots of smaller streamers would see what Ninja is doing and move to that game to try and catch the next popular thing.

As if the "kid" needs a bigger ego, watch 2 of his streams he spends more time moaning and reporting people who kill him. Because "He's gods gift and unbeatable".

Lol.... I am at that I age where I dont even know these Streamers... I just recently saw the Shroud was some good cs go player.

Dont care at all about any of them - guess they do to the younger crowd.

I dont know how watching others play games is fun or interesting unless its an analytical review of it.

I guess I am the old guy now :S

Does he meet the criteria?

1. Daily drives an exotic car, usually a Lambo
2. Has over 1m subs
3. Is a complete belmet.

Not gonna judge him in that way. He could be the most loyal and cool friend/person anyone could have around and a general nice guy. I just have a hard time seeing how its fun to watch someone play games.

Little kids will watch literally anything, my little sisters (7-9 yo) will watch all sorts of random mundane stuff like toy unboxings for those little random packs you get. Maybe one day they'll move on to something interesting like GPUs...

I think the only trick to being a YouTuber for that audience is to be insanely enthusiastic about everything to a painful degree. Not trying to attack Linus there lol.

That comes naturally for americans isnt it? I only need to look at presedential campaigns and wonder what drugs they are on. No way is a politician showing up to lie to you that exciting. Sometimes its like Trump just won the super bowl all on his own the way the public jump and fist pump the air with their jaws all the way to the ground shouting "AMURICAAAAA" :D

Must be a case of those spirit fingers.

:disclaimer: No americans were offended in this post.

I've found a way to rid yourself of unwanted Youtubers. Initially I thought I was going to have to stop watching it because I was so sick of being spammed with people like Linus and Bitwit (like who the jeff is he? just popped up all of a sudden !). Any way, click the three dots to say you are not interested. Then, when the option comes up select "Tell Us Why" and simply put "I am not interested in this channel X name here".

Job done. No more of the top ten over enthusiastic Americans who get on my nerves.
