nf-f12 sounds odd

sup fellas so i bought 6 nf-f12s for my push pull rad and i have to say. im not massively impressed. they dont seem to be pushing the air with anymore force then the phobya gsilents that i was using. they may have the system running a few degrees cooler but i would expect that because i am now running push pull and not push as i was it the gsilents and the noise is just as noticeable its a different pitch but still very noticeable. also all of my fans seem to have some sort of slow throbing vibration every few seconds. is that normal and i had ZERO vibration from the g's and if there was it was at a frequency that felt balanced. i guess maybe i had put them on a pedestal and exspected them to be the greatest thing in the world but the choice between 5oC cooler or £110. id take the cash maybe thee problem is i have fan filters infront of the push fans which could be causing some sort of pressure wave or something.:sad::sad::sad:

its a scythe kaze q-12 12 fan controller. i throttled back to about 3/4 power and the pulsing seems to be in check now. the hum isnt just as bad buts its still there lol

Have you tried running through molex?

The pulsing is because some fan controllers control the fans by rapidly turning them off and on, rather than decrease the voltage. Try doing it through molex and with voltage resistors

i think you are looking for something that wasn't there.. the F12 delivers more focused
air than the P12, without adding more noise. as Tom noted in the H80/100 video replacing the
OE H100 fans the temps came up a couple of degrees, but the noise was easily acceptable.
another thing to look for is sometimes the fan controllers do not deliver 100% of the voltage
to the fan as a molex connection can (another reason i do not use controllers) and this
can be within .5 volt. reverify the power to the fan via a molex connection.

IMO, pretty much every fan at 12v is too loud.
======
Never run fans at 12v no reason to do that unless you have no idea how to set your rig up.:o

lol, I dont, dont worry. The only to do so is for testing purposes. I'm currently running every fan at 5v, and I'm amazed how silent the thing is

I don't know. If I spend £18 on a fan, which I have done, I want to be able to run it silently at full whack. It's my 'right' god damn it!
