heres my specs;
amd fx 8320
corsair h100 cpu cooler
amd 6970
8gigs of ddr3 1600 ram
xonar phoebus sound card
128 gb kingston ssd boot drive
500 gig seagate 7200 rpm hd
raidmax 630 watt ps
so far i have disabled the turbo core technology in the bios. i turned up the multiplier in the bios and set it to 4.2 MHz. i ran prime95 for 8 hours with no errors and i used homonitor to watch my temps and they never went over 48c. i had prime95 set to blend preset.
heres my 1st question. while prime95 was running i noticed that not all of my cores were running at 4.2MHz. 4 would run at 4.2 and 4 would run at 2.9. is this suppose to happen.
my 2nd question is should i try for more. i set it to 4.2 first. i never tried any higher. how should i go about this. i dont know much about voltage btw. thanks for your reply's in advance.
