The vcore you set in BIOS has only indirect relation to what the chip runs at. I'm guessing that you have the LLC set to an extreme setting? If you eliminate vdroop (or make it negative) then the voltage can climb above what you set in BIOS when under load.

Yeh, sounds like it to me as well. The question is does the chip need this Vcore to stay stable at 4.6 or not. What I like to do is run prime for a minute or so, turn down the Vcore in TurboV one step, run prime for another minute and so on until it crashes. After that - turn it up a notch above the lowest stable setting and see if it remains stable for 24 hours.

I don't know if GB boards have similar software, but you can also do it using BIOS. Mind you, it will take longer to do it if you have to go into BIOS every time.

Some may not like the voltages that high but the water is giving you good temps so I'd be happy with that.

thanks Master I've tried to lower the voltage but can't get it to stabilise I'm happy
