new system; help!

Ok, I'm a newbie to the forums and I'd love some advice on a graphics card.

I'm building a new system, thats no problem, it'll be the 6th I've built.

So far I have;

XFX 680I LT edition SLI Socket 775

(used this on a build a month ago for gf, amazing for the price)

Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 2.53GHz (1066MHz)

OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Memory Gold GX XTC

Antec 300 case

Arctic Power 500W PSU

Ok, it's obviously a system on a budget. All in, thats about 300ish, I can spend about 80 on gfx and still have 50 to spare.

Thoughts on this?

(its 45 on a 'This week only' from OCUK)

anyway, help with the gfx would be great and if you see any major flaws that you think need fixed, feel free to say! Otherwise the 50 will go on HDD.

P.S. - won't be OCing much, if at all, so thats not a consideration.

Good price for a decent card if you are going to be gaming in low resolutions e.g. 1280 x 1024.

Yeah, with todays games, 256m probably best for <20" screens. If u can get 512m 8800GT or equiv, u may be better off.

Sure £80 would get something like that, don`t think I`d spend £80 on a 256m card.

thanks for the help, looks like I'm going with a xfx 9600gt (512mb, factory OC)

I'll post my thoughts on the system when I get it (monday, maybe) if anybody wants info on a budget build?
