I read an interesting article last night about a new product by Swiftech due to be unvailed later this month just thought I would share with you all,to see if you find it as interesting as me.
Swiftech to unveil new H220 all-in-one CPU cooler during CES 2013

Long Beach, CA January 3rd, 2013 13:00 PST - Rouchon Industries Inc., dba Swiftech® (OTC Pink Current: RCHN), is proud to announce the imminent release of the H220 CPU cooling kit, a new all-in-one liquid cooling system compatible with all current Intel® and AMD® desktop processors that will ship to consumers already pre-filled for plug-and-play operations. Setting itself apart from similar offerings, the product will also feature full expansion capabilities to include additional cooling devices for graphics and or chipset. The H220 will be unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show held from January 8th to 11th in Las Vegas, NV and Swiftech® will demonstrate several systems featuring the new cooler capabilities at the Mandalay Bay Hotel Penthouse suites.

In a related announcement, the company disclosed that they had successfully developed and begun high-volume manufacturing of a new generation of Swiftech-made mini-pumps, specifically designed for the liquid cooling market. The pump combines a compact design, high-reliability (60,000 hours MTBF) and the high head-pressure performance characteristics necessary to drive multiple devices in the same cooling loop. Being PWM controlled, the device can be driven by any motherboard like a regular CPU fan. Thanks to this new pump and to substantial economies of scale, the company claims that their new H220 CPU cooler will offer thermal performance with a low to inaudible acoustic signature rivaling that of the best custom kits, all at the price of an entry level product. In the words of Gabe Rouchon, the company’s Chairman and CTA, “This thing is ridiculously quiet; if the chassis light wasn’t on, I couldn’t even tell the system was running”.

Mr Rouchon also stated: “User convenience and the vast movement of novice builders towards liquid cooling was a critical consideration in the H220 design. It dictated that the kit would be pre-filled and completely plug-and-play. As a result, tuning and operations are as simple as using a regular CPU cooler. But with a 15 year heritage serving the enthusiast community, we also wanted to eliminate some of the limitations of the existing low-cost systems which are unable to accommodate add-on components because (a) they are sealed-up and offer no means to refill the system without voiding the warranty, and (b) the type of pump they use is not adequate to drive sufficient flow to cool more than a CPU. The Swiftech® H220 kit addresses both issues by featuring a fill-port built into the radiator so that the system can be easily emptied or refilled by the user at will, and by our new high-pressure pump. Based on years of innovation, know-how and extensive R&D, we are truly proud to present a solution that finally bridges the gap between full custom and sealed-up liquid cooling kits”.

Intresting, but how will it compare to the other all in ones that are currently available ??

Looks a bit tacky in my opinion -

Thats the million dollar question, with the h100i being so dominant.from having a quick look around Swiftech already do a similar product, the H20-220 edge Hd.The new one just looks like a neater more finished product.Nice idea though to be able to add a GPU block.

Indeed, someone had to make this move eventually and add some flexibility to the whole system.
I'm curious to see how the public will respond to this idea and if finally, the Corsair Hydro series will have a true rival.
Looking forward for the reviews.

That's pretty impressive. I was waiting to see more about that cooler and it soomes nice. I think the transparent glowing silly liquid cooling custom loops that everyone is used to fall behind that nice shiny black rubber tubing they are using in this one... I actually really like that.

Interesting... Is there finally some good competition for Corsair?
NZXT has already put Corsair in their place, although their closed loop coolers are 140mm/280mm. This does look very exciting, as Linus said in the video it's a huge leap for bridging the gap between closed loop coolers and full custom loop water cooling setups. The fact that you can customise the loop and add graphics cards is very interesting too :D

This is definitely an interesting cooling. I think I'd prefer this over an H100i if it's not too much more expensive o:

EDIT; Video says it's coming in at 139,99! I'm assuming this is in dollars. That would mean it'd be costing around €120,- which is only €20,- more than an H100i. But with this thing, if you want to go full watercooling, all you have to do is buy tubing, a few fittings, GPU blocks and maybe another rad and you're finished. No pump or res needed which will easily save you 80-100 quid

Very cool product Swiftech, I'm waiting for this.
I'd personally change the fans though, they seem like great fans but I want black ones :(

Yup, in my eye this beats all of those coolers like the H100's, Thermaltake etc... this is a proper cooler which seems to be quieter, cooler and overall better! It's about time a new player entered the race.

Whats also is interesting is that the H220 has close to equal temps cooling BOTH CPU and the dual 680´s where the H100i was only cooling the CPU. In the Linus vid they are at 81,29 versus 82,51 - in Elric´s vid temps are 82,71 for the H220 cooling both graphics and prosessor and the H100i at 81,01 cooling only the CPU.

Cooling only the CPU temps are in favour of the H220 versus both Thermaltake and Corsair

Yes, but with extra rads i believe, plus it has a powerful pump. I am glad they give you a customization option... I am really curious about the price of one of these kits.

No, it was with just that rad, I think... Though the GPUs were probably idling in that system. The last system that you saw (in the Trooper) they added an extra radiator :)

For the price; see the edit in my last post on page 1

Seems pretty cool let's wait to see what the future brings.

Personally I can't decided between the Corsair H100i & the NZXT X60 :s

i dont think its really aimed at the corsair H100 market, prolly more towards the
cooler master eisberg, that is soon to be released. being upgradable to additional
blocks and what-not. as the others are soley sealed and complete.

Can't hotlink to funnyjunk, mate :\

Swiftech stated that they aimed to "Bridge the gap between closed solutions and full watercooling loops".
I think they have succeeded! Especially looking at the pricepoint, which is amazing. Besides, these guys are known for their watercooling products and experience, so I'd much rather buy this than Corsair, Cooler Master or eww... Thermaltake
