In the end I purchased:

- Asrock Extreme 4 £114(bargain IMO)

- 2600k

- 8gb Mushkin Redline Ridgeback

- Keep my OLD WC since the mobo has 775 holes( I hope it fits)

- Not shure about the SSD (old C300 or the sucessor TBA, old one very cheap now!)

- GPU still waiting for the GTX 570 EVGA SC, but on second thoughts about GTX 580.

I'm not sure your WC will fit, is it for 1156 and 775 or just 775 because if it's just 775 it won't work on 1155.

EDIT: just checked the website and it says it's only 775

The motherboard he's going for has 775 cooler mounting holes next to the 1155/1156 ones.

But will the water block it's self work on the CPU seen as it's made for a 775 CPU?

Why not?? Since they put 775 holes, it should fit. My only concern is the high to make the waterblock touch the processor. Otherwise I will chop the feets like i saw one guy doing to fit on an 1556.

I just thought the water block it's self might be designed to fit only 775 CPUs I didn't realize it would work on other CPUs as well.
