New Rig in 650D Case

Carbon20

New member
Hey guys, just joined up here and also just finished putting together this rig. I read alot of threads on this forum and found everyone very helpful. Anyway here's my rig!

Corsair 650D

Asus Rampage IV Formula

Intel 3820

16gb of Corsair vengence quad channel memory

Asus gtx 560 Ti

Corsair AX850

Corsair Force GT 120Gb

WD Caviar Black 1Tb

and the good old H100 Cpu cooler, which seems to be working well. Just makes an irratating pump noise. Did alot of searching and so many people seem to be having this problem... must be a normal thing. Im not sure?

I built this computer mainly as a general use everyday rig. I do alot of work in photoshop and video rendering and im more then impressed so far. Hell even the gtx 560 runs BF3 on high settings at 1920x1080. Love it.

Pics (note the comp doesnt actually face that way on my desk lol actually sits underneath)

Looks nice and tidy!

That's the one concern I have with the H100; pump noise. As you say it seems to be a fairly common issue and the official Corsair forum is full of people RMA'ing their H100's for replacement.

Cheers guys, I tried to make things as neat as I could, after all if you're going to spend a decent amount on your rig you might aswell take the time to make it neat!

I'm not sure if i could be bothered sending the H100 in unless corsair covered all the shipping costs, which in all honesty they should.. I've even read that some people are getting noisy H100 replacements, I think i'll just have to live with the pump noise untill it really starts to annoy me and I pull the trigger on a proper water loop.

Very happy with it overall though!

really nice rig

Ah yeah I know, I was hoping that when I bought the case that corsair may have updated it over the years to come with internal headers, obviously not though haha.

Thanks for all the kind words guys

Cheers,

Ben

Just letting you know mate, Bitfenix make internal adaptors so that would solve your problem. Pretty sure they're only like $15 from PCCASEGEAR
