New possible problem

Well, after the memory incident, now when I try to set the HTT multiplier to 3x, it says 3x in the BIOS but it registers as the autoed 5x (using nVmonitor to see this). What can I do?

Perhaps it's not registering correctly in Windows... That's not an uncommon problem. You could test the theory by taking down ur multi and cranking up ur fsb really high and then playing with different HT settings to see if it's actually changing.

Nope, I do believe it truly is registering as 5x, because when I tried to set the cpu frequency up to 220 (would be 1150 htt bus then with 5x) it couldn't get past the POST due to overclocking, so it is registering the bus is 1150 or something... What do I do...?
