probably going to get one for christmas but should I get the now slightly cheaper 4th gen or the newer 5th gen ipod touch and why because I'm quite stuck although I have plenty of time to decide anyway
?
here is a comparison

I could probably be fine for 16GB I have only about 1.25GB of music on this computer so I should be fine or do programs fill it up quickly?
also I was wondering because I noticed this and I don't know why they did this: Here is a screen shot I took and it includes the 5th gen inputs and earphones. AS you can see it has a 3.5mm in but the earphones have a funny connector despite them having the circular 3.5mm base. Beside I put a picture of a normal 3.5mm jack just for comparison my question is that it will probably work if I were to upgrade the earphones it'll take a normal 3.5mm jack and won't need that special apple one? Stupid question I know but was just wondering.
