New Nvidia drivers exploits dual core technology!

I must admit that is extremely impressive. Guess i need to start considering an x2 regardless of whether or not im gonna go nvidea :)

sweet!! i wonder if its only amd dual cores that benefit.... makes a x2 3800+ or intel 830D look a boat load more appealing!

Well i went through the graphs, and can't see anything thats impressive, apart from the one Doom 3 graph. The rest of the graphs, the frames are the same or slighty slower.

Yes but the extra FPS is free. If you have an x2 and nvidea graphics card its definatly an appealing sign.

Thats my point though, there aren't any extra frames apart from the one D3 test, which looks borked anyways.

Id expect GTX to get better with more driver releases anyways, does it really have anything to do with the X2? they could just be telling us that.

if ur talkin about the 3d quailty mode benches then im sure thats jus due 2 a driver big mate, remember these are only beta im sure the final version will not ave that prob and will be even faster!

dont bother with intel dual core, get the amd x2s

Im all for new drivers, and props to nvidia, i just can't see anything to get excited about. Were not going to see improvements till software is coded properly.

Agreed -KUDOS for nvidia for trying to bring forward the benefits of dual core - a sort of interim method before the optimised code for each game (or for new games) comes out.

until intel dual cores get better i wouldnt even consider them, i was just curious how far this apparant dual core use went :)

I have been seriously considering ditching my san diego in favour of an intel 650 setup tho

i didn't know it was possible to take advantage of dual core just by gpu drivers lol.

usually the game has to be coded eg 1 cpu takes care of sounds/ai while the other does the 3d.
