New Mouse

I am in the market for a new mouse, I currently have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 and I would like more resolution and better range. I really like the look of the Logitech MX Revolution but I am wondering if there are any better options.

Razer Dimondback gets my vote, although ive never used a G5/7 or the revolution.

I have the G5 and it's a very nice mouse, nicer than my old Razor Diamondback imo. Just had to get a replacement tho

mouse is another one of those personal preference type things, i have an MX510 and love it!

I will be doing probably 75% regular desktop type things, web browsing, Word, etc, and re rest gaming, BF2, C&C3 and Guild Wars.

Well in that case definitaly something with on the fly sensitivity switching, it's so incredibly useful

i have a g5, but i like the copperhead better

are u a palm or finger mouse user

palm meaning your hand is completely on the mouse, and finger meaning using mainly your fingures to manouvre the mouse

g5 = palm

copperhead = finger

Well I use the middle setting for my desktop and then flick it up to full speed DPI for gaming. But it can also be useful for sniping and suchlike

on-the-fly sens allows you to use a button in conjunction with your scroll wheel to raise / lower your sensitivity while in-game / running an app. Can be useful for dropping sens quickly for graphic work or raising quickly for faster navigation around a game and that sort of thing.

Just because I like to be different I bought a Kensington Laser mouse. It has rubber gills on its sides that are very comfortable to use and is very responsive.

Its no $70 Logotech or Razer but I really like it.(especially for $29)

I got me one of these at the mo. A4Tech NB-95 Really pleased with it. Worth every penny of the £20

I reckon you should find a seller in the US.

My G7 is working well for me, and the spare battery comes in handy when a change is needed, only takes about 3 seconds.

I suppose it also matters on how your desktop is and whether you want it cable free or not.

I say Diamondback aswell

I really love it. I find it a lot better than my previous MX-500

I also have a QPad XXXL mousemat

logitech G5 gets my vote too,great mouse.

i used to switch dpi a lot but now i just use 2000dpi all the time
