New mouse advice:)

I'd say if Razer have failed you once don't let that happen again. You don't want to spend £100 on a product which your not 100% sure about, plus the Sensei is only £53 at eBuyer. But at the end of the day its your choice.

I'm not 100%sure about Sensei as well. I know that steelseries have great drivers, but it my be to small and to light

I was also thinking about the Rat7contagion, but there is not to many reviews about that mouse, so I dont know how its perform.

CM Storm Sentinal Zero-G, dual 5600DPI & 8 colour breathing LEDs at front and top, two macro/ script keys, customisable weights, braided chord and on the fly DPI adjustment for £40

At the end of the day its all about preference. Seeing as your previous mouse was a Lachesis i'm going to guess you use a palm grip to hold a mouse. So i'd say shop around for something with similar weight and size to a Lachesis and one which has been designed around the same grip style too.

EDIT: Just saw Protocol's post after posting this and the Sentinel Z3RO-G has potential. It weighs 160g out of the box but you can add more weights if need be, so it may just be the mouse for you.

That's what warranty is for. You can always return it.

Right, the best thing for you to do would be to run to your local shop and try out several mice there. That's really the best way to go about buying a new mouse, because you'll know it suits you when you buy it. I'd do that over buying a mouse online just because some random guys you don't even know recommend it any day

I would vouch for the Razer Deathadder any day. I have the 3.5G edition and it's fantastic. Low cost, great performance and very comfortable. The Mamba's wired, much less expensive brother. I would say that the Sensei is also a good consideration, but when I tried it hands-on (pun intended) it was a little low-down, flat and big for me. I am only 16 though, small hands!

Most of the human population have four fingers and one thumb, personally I don't understand any of the grip nonsense, I can use any mouse fine. I'd go so far to say the grip thing is a marketing gimmick to get you to buy a mouse for each mythical strategy they conjour for something so simple as holding a mouse - you don't buy different sofas depending on what method of sitting down you use. They'd say you need certain mice depending which day of the week it is if they thought it'd sell.

If you have a local store with mice on display then great, but most places I know would only display up to a £20 wireless mouse, which Joe Bloggs thinks is out of this world technological prowess.

Yes on my local store(I mean small shop
biggrin.gif
) they have mouse on display for 10£/15£. Type of grip is personal thing and you can adjust it to match your mouse, so its not a big thing for me.

I make my final decision in the end of the next week.

I will choose between: Sensei, Rat7contagion and Mamba.

My vote is Rat7

Sensei or a Xai, the Sensei Fnatic edition even better.

I'm pretty old school myself and use the MX518,

My vote is the Sensei out of the ones that you listed.

Just watch some Youtube videos and read reviews. It depends in what you want in a mouse, your hand size and what type of grip you use. All up to you

Sensei Fnatic have orange buttons, scroll whell.........and I HATE ORANGE!

I have seen lots and looooooots of videos and reviews and I'm still not sure

2 weeks ago I tried Saitek Cyborg RAT 5 in a shop and fell in love with it. I just bought it today and I'm loving it. It feels so natural in my hand even who it looks like it'll actually chop off your hand

After owning the Razer DeathAdder for 2 years I have just switched over to the Steelseries Sensei (what an amazing mouse
ohmy.gif
).

With the DeathAdder being closely related to the Mamba I would advise mostly on the shape of a mouse that fits your grip the most.

For me the DeathAdder was perfect apart from being too wide - I like to be able to have my hand on the mouse mat either side of the mouse (half claw, half palm kinda grip).

The Sensei is similar to the DA in length and height but 'skinnier', which is great for me.

In terms of features, I think that the Sensei has them all and IMO for a very good price too.

The determining factors of which mouse you should choose are it's Shape and Dimensions, don't pick one that will feel uncomfortable!

I don't understand why people like this mouse so much!

Sure it's comfortable... but nowhere near as comfortable as the Razer Mamba which feels like it was meant to have sex with your hand. And the Mamba looks amazing! The Sensei looks so bland.

Turn windows sensitivity to minimum and you'll see why people buy ridiculous DPI mice

11,400 DPI on my Sensei, with no acceleration and Windows sensitivity on the default 1:1 setting

Personally I recommend the Sensei, especially if you have a finger grip. But if you use a palm grip, probably opt for a Razer Mamba.

Like I said, I don't like the full contact of the Mamba/DeathAdder.

And I would have to say that the Mamba and Sensei are equal for looks. You can have pretty much any colour for the logo on it.
