New Motherboard Issue

I just installed a Asus EVO 2.0 and FX 8120 and have been having a hard time changing over. The MemOK LED keeps going off and windows wont boot. Sometimes it will boot without me pressing the MemOK button on the mobo. I don't how its able to work sometimes and other times wont. I'm using Kingston KVR1066D3Q8R7S.

At first I used my extra Hatachi 2G ram piece with the kingston ram in which the Hatachi was in A1 while the kingstong ram was in A2 and B2. But sense I removed the Hatachi ram I'v been able to post more often without having to use the MemOK button. I'v updated the UEFI bios to the most recent. I also get an error screen saying that overclock failed but I never overclocked anything. I'm hoping it's because I haven't remove the windows.old files yet so that information my my old bios is still getting read. I plan on deleting them tonight. I bought a stick of 8G corsair vengence 1600mhz to cut out any chance of the ram being the issue.

is the memory in question on the approved RAM specs for the motherboard?
using one stick in any slot, does it boot or fail?

so let me get this straight you had 3 sticks installed (1 + 2 (matched pair)) memory can be very fussy when running unmatched pairs. Especially if the CAS latency is different.
I hope you didnt pay that ebay price for that kingston ram.
Glad to see you bought a stick of 8gb. Thats all you need. Sell the old stuff.

Running now

I got the computer to run smoothly now. I just put the 2 pieces of ram in the A1 and B1 ports and it identified them both at correct size. I guess the recomended A2 and B2 ports are defective or I didnt seat them right. It works now so im not going to change anything except once i get the new ram I'll just use the one piece and put the ram back in my old mobo.
